We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Sr. Accounting Specialist to join our finance team for an 18 month contract. Hatfield is undergoing an implementation of a new ERP, expected to go-live in 2026. There will be many opportunities throughout the organization to develop, refine, and expand the reporting capabilities of the ERP system.
Support the day-to-day accounting operations and ensure all tasks are properly completed.
Play a key role in financial reporting, providing key insights and analysis.
Utilize Microsoft Excel and Power BI for data analysis and reporting.
Support our ERP implementation and system enhancement to improve financial process.
Oversee invoice processing and vendor management including reviewing and processing high volumes of invoices, ensuring accuracy and resolving any issues or discrepancies with vendors.
Manage payment processing including ACH payments and manual cheque issuance.
Handle expense management involving reconcile employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.
Review, update, and improve the company’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for accounting processes to ensure efficiency and compliance.
Provide oversight and support for payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Ensure the effectiveness of internal controls and the safeguarding of company assets.
Provide accounting support for special projects, audits, or regulatory compliance as required.
5+ years of accounting experience, with 2+ years in a senior role.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a combination of relevant education and experience.
Strong knowledge of accounting processes, principles, and best practices.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Strong problem solver.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
Excellent English communication skills, both spoken and written.
