Equipment Coordinator

North Vancouver, BC

Hatfield is seeking a competent and experienced equipment coordinator to support our Vancouver operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management and maintenance of equipment and other Hatfield assets, as well as providing administrative support to our Office Operations and Health and Safety committees.

This position may be either full-time or part-time, dependent on the applicant’s qualifications and availability.


  • Ensure equipment and fleet vehicles are maintained, inspected, and functional to meet operational and field requirements.
  • Assist with the scheduling of equipment and company vehicles.
  • Facilitate logistical planning and coordination of field programs and assist technical staff with equipment and other needs related to fieldwork activities.
  • Support the Office Operations Committee with its various functions, including equipment and field supply purchasing and non-trades office maintenance tasks.
  • Assist the Health and Safety Committee with various administrative tasks, including safety audits and maintaining third-party accreditations.
  • Ensure compliance with Hatfield’s Health and Safety Management Plan, the law, and client health and safety protocols, as well as compliance with Hatfield’s Quality Management Plan and external requirements and regulations.


  • Two or more years of progressive work experience supporting equipment and associated administrative duties.
  • A current and valid Class 5 Driver’s License and ability to drive fleet vehicles/trucks.
  • Intermediate computer skills (MS Office).
  • Experience operating in a dynamic consulting environment is an asset.


  • Aptitude and experience in administration functions is essential.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet company and client deadlines.
  • Self starter and a team player.
  • Strong organization and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills – developing partnerships/networks with the team, vendors, clients, and other interested parties.
  • Ability and interest to undertake occasional fieldwork is an asset.
